Lower Macungie Emergency Management Agency
The Lower Macungie Township Emergency Management Agency is a group of volunteers who provide, at the township level, coordinated emergency management services governed by Title 35 - the Emergency Services Code. Each political subdivision in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is directed and authorized to establish a local Emergency Services Agency. The township currently is complying with this directive and is planning on providing stronger capabilities in the future.
Lower Macungie Fire Department
The Lower Macungie Fire Department consists of 3 stations and over 77 dedicated men and women. They proudly protect 35,000 people living in an area over 23 square miles. They are a 100% Volunteer Department responding between 600-700 calls a year in both the Borough of Alburtis and Lower Macungie Township with professional service and pride.
Macungie Ambulance Corps
Emergency Medical Services for residents and visitors for Lower Macungie Township are provided by Macungie Ambulance Corps. The Macungie Ambulance Corps is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Lower Macungie Township providing 911 emergency response to five municipalities in southwestern Lehigh County. Since 1955 they have provided lifesaving care and have grown with the community to meet your needs. The ambulance corps responds to over 4,000 emergency calls annually!
Pennsylvania State Police
Lower Macungie Township's police force is the Pennsylvania State Police. Troop M-Fogelsville is located at 8320 Schantz Road, Breinigsville and is responsible for providing full time police services to Lower Macungie Township and four other municipalities.
